EARLY HEAD START
Early Head Start serves pregnant women, infants, and toddlers to age 3. The program is designed to nurture and support healthy bonds between young children and their parents/caregivers while providing developmentally appropriate educational experiences. Early Head Start also provides prenatal education and services to pregnant women to ensure healthy outcomes for new mothers and their babies.
Through the Early Head Start Program, TCCAP offers early childhood, developmentally appropriate education and family services for infants and toddlers, in both classroom center and home-based settings, depending upon the family’s location and needs. Young children receive developmental support and education. Parents or caregivers, which are the child’s primary teachers, receive support and education on child development and positive parenting strategies.
