About Us

Tri-County Community Action Partnership (TCCAP) is an anti-poverty, cornerstone agency providing critical safety net resources and child development education services to qualifying families in Crow Wing, Morrison, and Todd counties.

Vision

Tri-County Community Action Partnership aims to build and maintain a substantive relationship with the low-income population the agency serves. TCCAP strives to be a leader in educating and organizing the community on issues surrounding economic poverty.

History

Tri-County Community Action Partnership was founded in 1965 and has been serving Crow Wing, Morrison, and Todd counties for more than 50 years. TCCAP is a Community Action Agency, founded as part of President Johnson’s War on Poverty.

Head Start Program begins.

Weatherization, Energy Assistance, and Housing Rehabilitation Programs begin.

Auto loan program begins.

1999

Early Head Start Program begins, matched savings, transportation loans, and child care provider startup loan programs begin.

2006

Earned Income Tax Credit IRS tax preparation assistance begins.

2007

Partnership with Legislative Commission to End Poverty begins.

2009

Circles of Support Program begins.

2010

American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding expands services and employment.

2011

Emergency loans and grants program begins.

2015

“50 Years of Community Action!” and full-day Head Start expansion.

2015

Early Head Start Child Care Partnership Program begins.

2016

TCC changes name to Tri-County Community Action Partnership, Inc to emphasize the importance of community partnerships across all sectors.

2018

New logo and new website with the help of RedHouseMedia!
