Child Care Business Loan Program |

The Child Care Business Loan Program is exclusively for Family Child Care Providers. New and existing child care providers may be eligible for financing. Loans can be used to start or expand a business. Every loan recipient is eligible for business skills training.
This revolving loan fund was created in 1998 through funds committed by the McKnight Foundation and TCC. The local McKnight Welfare Reform Partnership set up a loan fund exclusively for child care providers. The goal is to support workforce needs for quality child care.
The hope is that loan recipients will provide leadership in providing quality child care for families transitioning from welfare to work.
The areas of most critical need are early morning, evening, weekend, drop-in or emergency care and sick child care. There is limited infant and toddler care available.
