Weatherizing your home saves energy ….. and money!

Weatherization is available to income-eligible residents of Crow Wing, Morrison and Todd Counties.

Talk to your EAP provider about a referral to Weatherization. County referrals are based on the amount of fuel used and the ability of the resident to pay their fuel bills. Both renters and homeowners are eligible. Renters must secure permission from their landlords.

Last year 87 residents were served with the Weatherization program and now have safer, warmer, more livable homes. 

Weatherization improvements included wall insulation, attic insulation, window and door repair and rim joist insulation. Health and safety improvements included dryer venting, exhaust fans and covering crawl spaces with plastic to prevent ground moisture from entering the home. Heating system improvements can include furnace replacements, ductwork improvements and clean and tunes.
